About the Greater Millsboro Chamber of Commerce

The office of the Greater Millsboro Chamber of Commerce is located at 322 Wilson Highway, Millsboro, DE within the Millsboro Civic Center building. Also located in this building are the Town of Millsboro offices and Town Hall meeting room. Our office hours are generally Monday thru Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. There are always lots of exceptions to the schedule because of Chamber sponsored events, membership meetings and Board of Directors’ meetings.

The Chamber’s events serve as community happenings and fund raisers. The funds raised go toward the office operation and some of the Chamber’s favorite charities and projects. One project is our annual local high school scholarship. We are proud to have increased the amount of the award to $1,000.00 in the year 2006. At Christmas we participate in adopting needy local families through local non-profit organization, Families Connected. In 2004 we adopted three families. In 2005 we increased the number of families we adopted to ten. This is done through the generosity of our members and fund raisers. We are very proud of this and hope to continue to increase these numbers.

The Chamber strives to offer its members events that will spotlight their businesses. Our membership is varied and always increasing with the many new businesses opening in the growing Millsboro area. Just click on the membership list if you are in need of a service or specific goods. We highly recommend our member businesses. At last count we have over 275 members in good standing.

The Greater Millsboro Chamber of Commerce is pleased to be an active partner in the Town of Millsboro’s efforts to maintain and preserve Millsboro’s strong sense of community, while responsibly planning for and managing its residential and commercial growth.

The Chamber has served Millsboro since 1948. Its partnership with the Town is even stronger since the relocation of its offices to the municipal building at 322 Wilson Highway, and by assuming management of the Millsboro Civic Center at the same location. Additionally, the chamber actively works to foster a healthy economic base for the Town and its residents. Millsboro today enjoys a healthy downtown comprised of excellent restaurants, small retail shops and service businesses. These are supported by a network of outlying larger employers in diversified industries such as food production, biotechnology, banking, and healthcare. Tourism development is on the rise, too, especially of the environmentally sound variety.
